چکیده
Klebsiella pneumoniae KpQ3 is a multidrug-resistant isolate obtained from a blood culture of a patient in a burn unit in the Hospital Universitario La Paz (Madrid, Spain) in 2008. The genome contains multiple antibiotic resistance genes, including a plasmid-mediated DHA-1 cephalosporinase gene.

Draft Genome Sequence of NDM-1-Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Clinical Isolate 303K
Multidrug-resistant New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase 1 (NDM-1)-producing bacteria have spread globally and become a major clinical and public health threat. We report here the draft genome sequence of the Klebsiella pneumoniae clinical isolate 303K, harboring an NDM-1 coding sequence.
متن کاملFirst Outbreak of Multidrug-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae Producing both SHV-12-Type Extended-Spectrum β-Lactamase and DHA-1-Type AmpC β-Lactamase at a Korean Hospital
PURPOSE Coexistence of different classes of beta-lactamases in a single bacterial isolate may pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. We investigated a spread of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates co-producing an AmpC beta-lactamase and an extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) in a university hospital. MATERIALS AND METHODS Over a three-month period, a total of 11 K. pneumoniae isolates, wh...
متن کاملPhenotypic and molecular characterization of CTX-M-14 extended-spectrum β-lactamase and plasmid-mediated ACT-like AmpC β-lactamase produced by Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from chickens in Henan Province, China.
Extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) and AmpC β-lactamases produced by a clinical isolate of Klebsiella pneumoniae from chickens were detected with confirmatory phenotypic tests of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute. The minimum inhibitory concentrations of 18 antibacterial drugs against K. pneumoniae were determined by the 2-fold microdilution method. The genotype and sub...
متن کاملAmpC β lactamases in Urinary Klebsiella pneumoniae Isolates: First Report of ACC Type AmpC β-lactamase Resistance in Iran
Background & Objective: The production of plasmid-mediated AmpC beta-lactamases (PMABLs) among urinary Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates causes a severe problem to the successful treatment of urinary tract infections (UTIs). This study was designed to evaluate antimicrobial resistance, the presence of AmpC beta-lactamase genes, and the genetic relatedness among K. pneumoniae strains separated from...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences of Two Multidrug-Resistant Extended-Spectrum-β-Lactamase-Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Strains Causing Bloodstream Infections
Multidrug-resistant (MDR) Klebsiella pneumoniae has become a major contributor to nosocomial bloodstream infections. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of two MDR extended-spectrum-β-lactamase-producing strains causing bloodstream infections. These sequenced genomes display a wide-spectrum virulence arsenal and will help us understand the genomic basis of K. pneumoniae virulence.
